About

I’m Alexandra, an aspiring author and content creator documenting the real, unfiltered process of writing a 10-book detective romance series and sharing everything I learn along the way.
Here’s the truth: I spent years as a consumer rather than a creator. I read romance novels and thought, “I could write something like this,” then immediately followed it up with, “But who am I kidding?” I had notebooks full of story ideas, Pinterest boards that I never actually looked at, and a lot of dreaming without much doing.
Then something shifted. I realized that dreaming and doing are two very different things—and I was tired of waiting for the “perfect moment” to start. So I stopped planning the perfect writing life and started building an imperfect but real one.
What I’m Writing
I’m currently writing the Greenmont Universe, a 10-book romance series that blends complex mysteries with slow-burn romance and found family dynamics. Books 1-3 (the Police trilogy) are in development, and I’m documenting the entire journey from first draft to publication in real time.
The series follows interconnected characters across different emergency services in the same city, exploring how they solve crimes, fall in love, and build the families they choose.
What I Share
I’m documenting my journey as an aspiring writer, not from a place of “I’ve figured it all out,” but from the trenches of actually doing the work. I share what I’m learning about:
- Writing craft (character development, plotting mysteries, romance arcs)
- Reading strategically (turning books into both joy and craft lessons)
- Author platform building (content creation, newsletter growth, connecting with readers)
- Creative systems and productivity (writing consistently, managing energy, sustainable habits)
You’ll find me sharing daily on Instagram and Threads with writing updates, behind-the-scenes glimpses, craft insights, and book recommendations. I also publish longer reflections and tutorials on my blog and send exclusive content through my newsletter.

Why This Matters
The hardest part of pursuing creative dreams isn’t learning to write. It’s learning to see yourself as someone who has valuable things to say. I’m not trying to be the polished success story. I’m the person a few steps ahead on the path, showing you what it actually looks like to bridge the gap between wanting to write and being a writer.
My perspective as someone actively learning, actively writing, actively figuring it out isn’t a weakness. It’s exactly what other aspiring writers need to see. Not the highlight reel, but the honest, messy journey.
Let’s Connect
